The handle material is either sunburst or black Micarta, which is impervious to water, won’t warp or crack, and has a warm touch. It is the superlative handle material for knives. Sandvik 14C28N stainless, which is one of the best knife-specific steels on earth, with a rockwell hardness of around 59-60. 

No Chinese mystery steels here. Corby bolts give you a mechanical fastening for the handle scales. That’s why it’s guaranteed for life. Italian leather sheath hand-stitched in my workshop, because a leather sheath is one of life’s pleasures.
