From 400-year-old oak and beech woodlands, to dramatic chalk valleys, to swathes of crops and grasslands, the estate is the epitome of what draws so many to the South Downs National Park. The location and richness of the land, as well as the careful management of the deer population, has lead to some very strong animals that are more than worthy of occupying a place on the wall. This, combined with the guides' ability to lead on foot, in high seats or in specialised off-road electric vehicles for those who are less physically able, leads to nearly limitless opportunities for an exhilarating and rewarding stalk.
The estate benefits from a walk-in game larder, as well as a full set of butchery equipment. We can process a carcass into a professionally butchered and vacuum-packed venison box if you wish. Off-road vehicles can be used for carcass extraction and Blue Fieldsports is located only a short distance away if you need to purchase any ammunition or equipment.
The guides can offer training sessions on the estate's private range for those who are less confident or want to hone their skills. Estate rifles and ammunition are also available for those aged 17 or over.
We are able to secure you specially discounted rates on nearby accommodation when booked through us. If coming from afar, we can also arrange transport links to and from nearby train stations or airports. Southampton Airport is 25 minutes away, whilst Bournemouth and Heathrow airports are both only 1 hour away. London Waterloo station is a little over 90 minutes away via train.
At St. Clair's, the pricing structure differs to most other locations. You are not charged per outing and per animal as it is felt this leaves your satisfaction too much to chance. As a result, we start with a base package that includes up to two outings and one cull animal to offer you as close to a guarantee as possible of a successful stalk.
