Ensure your shotgun doesn't let you down when you need it most and book it in for a service today! Whether your side by side gets soggy on game shoots; your semi auto gets beaten around on a practical stage; or your over & under gets taken for rounds of clays, all shotguns benefit from an annual service - much like our cars do! It helps avoid reliability issues, as well as ensuring any cosmetic damage is prevented or caught early.

How often you should book your shotgun in for a service depends on many different variables. How well the shotgun is maintained, weather, intensity of use, ammo, action type, build materials, age, origin and aesthetics, as well as other factors, all play a part. For example, if you shoot your Beretta over & under on 20 driven days a year (and you clean it throughout the season) then a service once every two years would likely be sufficient. However, if you shoot 40 days a year with your old English boxlock and you're not so good at cleaning it, you should have it serviced at the end of every season.

If you're not sure then give us a call and we can talk about your specific guns with you in more detail, or bring them in and we will inspect them free of charge!

To book a service in simply add the product to your basket and checkout as normal. We will then contact you to arrange for you to drop the shotgun(s) off at our Hampshire gunroom or send it to us via RFD transfer.

A Shotgun Service includes:

  • Full disassembly, including trigger mechanism
  • Visual and tactile inspection for any damage or excessive wear, both internal and external
  • All parts stripped and degreased
  • All parts cleaned using assorted brushes and polishing tools
  • All parts lubricated using the appropriate lubricant for each part
  • Wood is given a light coating of stock finish if required/requested
