Field Hand by Canton Cutler

The Field Hand is designed as just that, your companion in the field.  A knife small enough to go unnoticed, but robust enough to handle tough working conditions. Originally evolved from the "root and stem" which was made for a National Trust gardener, who wanted an everyday tool for everyday use, the blade has been stretched out just a tad, with a subtler drop point. 

The handle comes into the blade with a slight curve, meaning it sits in your hand naturally, ready for whatever you need it for. A harpoon clip and false edge gives you that indexing. This model comes with ivory micarta and a stonewashed finish. The stonewash means it can be serviced and brought back to how it looks now, even after years of use. 

The steel choice, as usual, is 4mm Sandvik 14C28N. Pound for pound this is the best stainless out there when we take into consideration edge retention, stain resistance, edge stability, cost and toughness. 

The Italian leather sheath is hand stitched in my workshop and is guaranteed for 20 years.
